Celebrating our 50th Anniversary

Eldorado Country Club was envisioned by longtime friends and business associates Johnny Dawson and Jimmy Hines in 1956. Jimmy Hines identified an ideal location -- a working farm which was nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Page Farm was home to date palms, seedless grapes and grapefruit orchards. The land was purchased in 1956, and construction of the golf course took place in early 1957. The first round of golf was played on November 22, 1957.

A limited partnership was used during the early history of the club with Robert McCulloch playing a significant financial role. His leadership along with the commitment of several other founders developed what we now know as Eldorado Country Club. This partnership eventually evolved into a not for profit, member-owned country club.
